Lake Audio Pty Ltd is a Newcastle Business which was established by the current owners in 1991.
The current owners actively manage the business. Michael Piller, the managing director, is responsible for scheduling and
supervising all work. The company is based in Cardiff, which provides easy access to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, the Lower Hunter
& the Central Coast. The work of the company falls into three distinct areas, Live Music Production, Community Events and Sales / Installations.

| 1. Live Music Production
|
The company began trading primarily as a hire business, serving the local entertainment industry,
sporting and community events. The company now provides sound and lighting equipment, and sound engineers to a number
of leading local entertainment venues, including the University of Newcastle. Lake Audio has
experience in providing production services for all types of musical entertainment, from classical through to jazz and rock.
In addition to providing services to local bands and venues, the company has also invested in touring
standard equipment and provides production for national artists working in the Central Coast,
Hunter Valley, North Coast and beyond.
Our association with many of our clients is longstanding. We regard our clients not as ‘customers’
but as partners with us in the events that we participate in. As a result, over 75% of our business
each year is repeat business from our existing client base.

| 2. Community Events
|
In addition to supplying concert sound and lighting, the company also caters for a large variety of
sporting and community events. The company owners are passionate Novocastrians and Lake Audio is
committed to supporting Newcastle and Newcastle Events. We are proud to provide our equipment and
excellent staff for some of the leading festivals and events in the Newcastle and Lower Hunter events
calendar.
Examples of the clients and events for which we have supplied our production services are:
* Newcastle Regional Show - For the last several years we have supplied all sound and lighting equipment,
including staff, for the Newcastle Regional Show.
* Mattara Festival of Newcastle - We provide equipment and technicians for the duration of this
week long event, including the Grand Parade and all Foreshore Events.
* Hamilton Food, Wine & Music Festival - We provide sound and lighting for the main stage as
well as a PA System along Beaumont Street.
* Mattara Hill Climb - Sound equipment and technicians are provided for this two day event held in Kind Edward Park.
* Tocal Field Days / Fairs / Trade Shows / Surf Carnivals - We provide production services for a number of outdoor festivals
and shows such as craft fairs, garden fairs and trade shows throughout the year.
* Newcastle Maritime Festival - We provide the foreshore public address system and the main stage pa system for this annual event.

| 3. Sales
& Installations
|
The sales and installation of professional audio and lighting systems are a constant and growing
part of the business. This work is assisted by Michael's extensive experience (and current licencing) as an electrical contractor.
The company has supplied and installed sound systems in a wide variety of locations including clubs, hotels, sporting facilities,
schools and commercial premises which require regular use of a PA system. As well as music production systems, the
company installs public address systems for announcement and safety purposes, in all kinds of commercial and industrial settings.
